Lab tools your agent can use now.
Calculate. Plan. Keep the working. Free browser tools, a public HTTP API and an MCP server. No account, API key or payment required for these tools. The paid iPhone/iPad notebook is separate; agents cannot access its local experiment records.
Start here
- Scientists: open a tool in your browser, enter your values, inspect the working and copy the notebook entry.
- HTTP agents: read the instructions and example requests. POST JSON; return
notebookEntry, units and warnings. - Any MCP client or AI app that takes a custom connector: add
https://www.verbalexperiment.com/mcpas a remote (Streamable HTTP) server. No key, no sign-in. See the published tool list.
Solution prep, serial dilution, PCR mixes, LNP formulation, plate maps, templates and label-text parsing support HTTP and production MCP. Standard-curve and protein-assay analysis are HTTP/browser beta tools; they are not in production MCP. Label OCR runs in the browser; the API/MCP label parser accepts text.
Any agent that can use the web
Paste one prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any agent that can fetch pages and call web APIs. Nothing to install.
Claude
Claude.ai and the Claude apps: add Verbex as a connector in one step. Claude opens its connector dialog with Verbex filled in; you confirm.
Or add a custom connector at claude.ai/customize/connectors with this URL:
Claude Code: run this once.
ChatGPT
Verbex Lab Tools, now in ChatGPT. Open it in the ChatGPT plugin directory and add it; ChatGPT asks you to confirm.
Other AI apps
Le Chat, Perplexity, Grok, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot Studio and other apps that accept a custom MCP connector: add a new connector, choose a remote server or URL, and paste this address. Verbex needs no sign-in, so skip any login step. Custom connectors may depend on your plan.
Coding agents and editors
Cursor: Add to Cursor or add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.
VS Code: run this once, or add the server to .vscode/mcp.json under servers.
Gemini CLI: run this once.
Codex: run this once.
Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf): add this to mcp_config.json.
Zed: add this to settings.json.
Apps that only run local servers
If your app can only start a local (stdio) MCP server, use the standard mcp-remote bridge. It needs Node.js.
For developers
- Agent instructions: SKILL.md
- MCP server:
https://www.verbalexperiment.com/mcp(Streamable HTTP) · server card - HTTP API: OpenAPI description of every calculator
- Agent SDKs with remote MCP support (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, LangChain and others) can call the MCP server directly. No headers or keys.
- Content: llms.txt, templates, every guide as Markdown at
/blog/<slug>.md
